Provisior

You are sure you have complete control over all your hard- and software?
The bigger an organisation, the harder it is to keep control over the use of centralised and decentralised available hard- and software. New employees need access to certain resources and applications, whilst leaving employees need their access to be denied. To relieve the ICT Department you want to delegate some of the routine tasks revolving around authorisation and allocation of hard- and software and put the responsibilities in line. At the same time, you want to keep an overview from one central place of the decisions made, even if just for the license policy.

For all these and many other needs in the area of IT management there now one versatile, flexible and accessible web application: Provisior.

What is Provisior?
The key words that apply to Provisior are:

  • User Provisioning
  • Identity & Access Management
  • Self-service
  • Cost Awareness
  • Role Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • IT Process Automation

Provisior is a web-based tool that can be seen as a services catalogue for the end user, where the handling of the whole process (the workflow) runs automatically. It is not just about the availability of services (such as software/hardware/etc.) but also about other service requests that would normally be handled by a primary helpdesk (such as password resets) and cost a lot of time (and thus money).

Specific unique characteristics

  • The perspective of Provisior is that of the user’s perspective, instead of a technical one (such as for system managers, technicians, etc.). This makes Provisior extremely suitable as a front end for.
  • Provisior is a real web portal with overviews, instead of a script builder or tooling that sends round forms.
  • The organisational knowledge that has been included into Provisior makes it possible to, for example, realise cost awareness overviews or a hierarchical view of the department structure (with the relevant employees). Other tooling does link to an HR system but simply reacts to changes that are made through the execution of a script (schematically: New employee in HR system -> Script -> Creating a new employee in the Active Directory). Provisior is completely web-based, where for other tooling usually the installation of a client or agent is needed.

  • Provisior is powered by ITQ
