Employees

Provisior offers both Access Management and Identity Management. The program enables you to create accounts for new employees, including a user name, password and e-mail address. Naturally, it is also possible to lock and to delete accounts. You can transfer an employee to a different department, automatically removing access to all resources and services to which he or she is not entitled in the new department. The account management functions are as follows:

Create accounts. When you create a new account, Provisior will automatically generate a mailbox, a home folder and a profile folder. A new employee can get down to work within half an hour.

Lock or delete accounts. If an employee leaves or changes his/her job, it is important to adjust or delete the account immediately. It is also possible to temporarily lock the account.

Change of details. The name, telephone number, e-mail address, photo and location of each employee can be changed manually. It is also possible to reset employee passwords in a secure way. Employees can view their own details and, depending on the security settings, may also be able to amend those details. If configured, employees can reset their own (forgotten) Windows password. It can be activated via the workspace of a colleague and the use of their own secret questions/answer combination. Allowing the subject to input the details directly avoids a great deal of hassle for the IT department.

Search for details. All of your employees will be registered in Provisior. So this database can be used as a kind of telephone book in order to retrieve information about colleagues simply and quickly.

Transfer an employee. Employees often move from one department to another. In such cases, they are not expected to have the same authorisations in their new department that they had in the previous department. Therefore, when an employee transfers to a different department, he/she only retains the authorisations that apply in the new department.

Reporting. A lot of reports can be generated, e.g. a report of variances between Provisior and the Active Directory and a report of the licenses in use.

Management. Management positions on multiple levels, so no one has more rights than his or her role permits. All executed actions are of course recorded in an extensive audit log (in some organisations this is also compulsory!).

Delegation. The possibility of delegation makes the work of a manager more easy. The delegation can be send to a central person in a department/team. It is also possible to delegate to a functional mailbox. More employees can be involved in the workflows of a request.
